About Gypsea tails
We believe Dog care is about so much more than supervision — it’s about how a Dog feels in their body, their environment, & their relationships. We know that trusting someone with your Dog is a big decision, which is why we’ve created a calm, supportive space in Margaret River where Dogs can truly settle, decompress, & be themselves.
Our work begins with the nervous system. By integrating Dog Somatics, mental health awareness, & thoughtful socialisation, we support Dogs to feel safe, regulated, & confident — not just while they’re with us, but long after they return home. When a Dog feels secure, everything else flows more naturally: behaviour, learning, & connection.
A Different Kind of Dog Care
Gypsea Tails offers a boutique, holistic approach to Dog care that’s intentionally different. We’re proud to be the only Steiner-inspired Dog Care Providers in Southwest WA, blending structure, rhythm, & respect for each Dog’s individuality with evidence-informed practices.
Every Dog is met exactly where they are. Whether they thrive in social settings or prefer quieter companionship, we adapt our care to support their unique temperament & needs. Through gentle guidance, somatic tools, & positive experiences, we help Dogs build resilience, confidence, & emotional balance — without force or overwhelm.
Just as importantly, we work closely with the Humans, offering insight, education, & a new lens through which to understand their Dog’s behaviour. Our goal is not quick fixes, but lasting change rooted in trust & connection.
Beyond Everyday Care
Alongside our Daycare, Overnight Care, & holistic services, we also specialise in Wedding Dog chaperone services, ensuring your Dog can be part of your special day in a way that feels calm & seamless. From behind-the-scenes support to ceremony attendance & overnight care, your Dog’s wellbeing is always our priority.
Hi there!
MEET TAZ - THE HEART & SOUL BEHIND GYPSEA TAILS.
SHE’S PART DOG WHISPERER, PART CREATIVE POWERHOUSE & ALL HEART. A NATURE LOVING, RULE BENDING VISIONARY, based in Witchcliffe, just south of Margaret River, Western Australia. She moves through life with sand between her toes, a camera close by, and dogs always at her side.
her biggest teachers have always been dogs & nature
Taz & her team are redefining what real Dog care looks like. Not kennels. Not commands. But connection, nervous system safety, & deep respect for each Dog as an individual. Her world sits at the intersection of Dog Somatics, psychology, holistic care, & playful adventure — where wellbeing comes first & every quirk is honoured as part of a Dog’s unique spirit.
She isn’t just running a business. She’s building a movement.
One grounded in trust & tail wags.
Another shaped through creativity, storytelling, & gentle education.
Taz spends upwards of 50 hours a week simply being with Dogs in nature — observing, walking alongside them, adventuring, listening, & connecting. Different breeds, temperaments, nervous systems, & personalities have each taught her something new about communication, emotional regulation, & trust.
That lived, hands-on experience — not just theory — is the backbone of everything she does. Studying Dog Psychology gave her language for what she was already seeing & feeling daily, & her ongoing progression into Dog Somatics has deepened her ability to support Dogs at a nervous system level.
In her own time, Taz continues to study behaviour, training philosophies, somatic practices, & holistic Dog care — but she’ll always tell you the real lessons don’t come from books. They come from quiet moments, body language, breath, & presence. From Dogs showing us who they are when they finally feel safe.
A New Way of Thinking About Dog Care
Dogs don’t need complicated systems or constant correction. They need calm leadership, emotional safety, connection, & balance. Humans, often without realising it, project their own stress, anxiety, or expectations onto their Dogs — and that’s where Taz & her team step in.
Their role is to bridge the gap between Dogs & their humans. To help people slow down, tune in, & see their Dogs through a calmer, more connected lens. When the nervous system settles, behaviour shifts naturally. Trust grows. Relationships deepen.
Because Dog care isn’t something you do. It’s something you live.
